The Andon is the journal of the Society for Japanese Art, issued twice a year. ´Shedding light on Japanese art´ has been a priority of the society ever since its founding in 1937, and has done faithfully so throughout its existence. Today consisting over a hundred issues, the Andon is a treasure trove of images and information about Japanese art, including paintings, prints, netsuke, lacquer, textiles, Mingei crafts, and much more!
