EDITORIAL: Andon 50! Certainly an occasion to celebrate. The first Andon appeared in 1981 to supplement the Newsletter and since then our Society has kept the light of Andon burning. We have tried to give this issue of Andon a festive character by inviting several members of our Society to write a short paper on the topic 'Under the spell of Japanese art'. I hope you will enjoy reading their enthusiastic contributions as much as I did.
